Back in 2010, Bianca and I found this yellow, strapless romper with various cartoon fish on it. It had a ruffle at the top of the bust, was cinched at the waist, and had two pockets. Assumedly it was for a beach-y situation of sorts, but Bianca and I took the opportunity to purchase it and stick it on our then-vintage endeavour, Plastic Skyline. We deemed it the “funny fish funsuit” because it was both funny and fishy in the form of a suit that was fun.
While scouring the vast e-boutiques that make up online marketplace Etsy a few weeks ago, we came across a two-piece set that brought back sweet, sweet memories: a bright blue silk set with none other than funny fish swimming all over it. Found on the eccentrically incredible WEARETRIBE vintage shop, we knew we couldn’t live without such an endearing (and soft!) purchase. And, as we mentioned in the first instalment of our Etsy Saga, it warms our hearts to be able to support small businesses across the globe — and get our hands on the weirdest and wackiest clothing unavailable elsewhere!
So there you have it: The Etsy Saga part 2. Stay tuned for the last instalment of our coo coo crazy cross-coordinated print trilogy, and don’t forget to mozy over to Etsy for some of your own exploring.
