Minty

Dress (worn open): Wilfred via Aritzia
Bandeau: Brandy Melville
Bag: H&M
Pants: Margiela at H&M
Shoes: Zara

Noteworthy notes:
1) Sorry if I look sad in these photos. It’s just my fashion face.
2) My mini ponytail is getting ~dangerous~. See: photo 1.
3) I’m spending too much time outside which is why I look like I got a bad spray tan.

Rational rationalizations:
1) I am simultaneously sad /and/ fashion at the exact same time. Justjk.
2) I am a generally determined person because I am still growing out my hair despite the fact that my mini ponytail is embarrassing.
3) I am tropical (both in regards to these photos and also maybe IRL). (Y)

Some words about the aforementioned and pictorially represented giant pants:
These pants were literally the only piece I //really// wanted from MMM for H&M, so I immediately jumped at the opportunity to attend the pre-shop back in November. However, being the tiny human that I am, the size small I ended up purchasing was big enough to fit me and two other tiny humans in each leg. When I got home that night, I showed my mom my butt-covering pride and joy and she immediately demanded that I make my way back to the store to return them (because I looked so stupid). I was gutted, but I knew in my heart and soul that she was right……

WELL, by some twist of fate, 2 months later I stumbled upon the exact same pair I returned in the stockroom of the H&M I used to work at. Lols 3.5years of #retaillyfe and also lols at ~twist of fate~ (because no one else in the city wanted/currently wants to inflict such unflattering/hypothetical pain (and embarrassment) on their bottom half). Luckily for me, I’ve grown accustomed to ignoring *fashion embarrassment*, so as my eyes glazed over in a sea of *fashion tears*, I stumbled to retrieve my wallet from my locker – and within about 20 seconds of rediscovering these light-washed beauties, they were mine once more. #lovestory #sorrymom

I ended up repurchasing the pants for about 85% off, which, of course, is a small price to pay for oversized denim glory. Unfortunately for me, despite being less than $15, the pants still looked like this. Which isn’t the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.

I’ll skip the in between denim-butchering process, but clearly ~~~~magic~~~~ happened, and now these once horribly unwearable pants now exist as a slightly less horrible entity! Which is an A+ situation for all parties involved. Bianca ended up wearing them to fashion week and now I’ve made the poignant effort to integrate them into my everyday pantaloon rotation. #success #goodatpants

…..

Have the absolute BEST Thursday!
