SHOP THE LOOK:
Toronto’s been suffering a heat wave the entire week — a situation I’ve been remedying with my trusty, barely-there garments that disguise me as a well put-together individual when in fact I am a lazy, sweaty mess. The newest addition to my shoe closet have come especially in handy because they’re not quite as casual as my Converse Chucks and nowhere near as difficult to walk in as high-heeled sandals.
Mind you, it took me weeks to decide whether or not to snatch these babies up. They’re so average compared to my monstrous collection of subjectively ugly (in a Man Repeller kind of way) footwear and the colour I decided on is the safest of safe — a factor I typically stray far, far away from. But, something happened that I could never expect: my outfits began to need them. I couldn’t leave the house in any one of my Doc Martens or clunky platforms because they just seemed way too heavy under a midi skirt or a pair of palazzo pants. So I guess you could say the stars aligned, uniting me with my go-to shoe of the summer… and I wouldn’t have it any other way :’)
Now I’m considering dropping another sixty bones on the taupe pair. I’m still swooning over their comfortable practical-ness!!! What do you guys think?

LOVE! Where do you usually shop? I’m in Toronto for a few months this summer and just wondered where the best areas for vintage and boutique stores are…? Thanks
