There’s nothing worse than leaving your city only to realize you’ve left something behind. Scratch that — there’s nothing worse than leaving your city for New York Fashion Week only to realize you’ve left something behind. The hustle and bustle of quite possibly the busiest city in the world during the busiest week of the season is enough to leave anyone anxiety-ridden in fetal position, which is why Danielle and I have taken it upon ourselves to post our NYFW Survival Guides on Stylelist Canada — one per day for sufficient preparedness.
If you’re not dropping your everyday responsibilities to be in the Big Apple, read them anyway! They also serve as a recap of what we’re experiencing throughout the week. If you dare to live vicariously through us (although we wouldn’t recommend it because it’s Day 5 and we are horribly exhausted), click through each day to follow along with our adventures — including but not limited to various celeb sightings, outfit decisions, and non-life-threatening (but still unfortunate) illnesses.

Excerpt: Now that we’ve gotten a taste of what a jam-packed day at New York Fashion Week entails, we’ve psyched ourselves up for tomorrow; after all, if we can handle a starry-eyed run-in with Solange Knowles without acquiring a restraining order then we’re pretty sure we’re golden.

Excerpt: Though the Weather Network claims a big, black cloud will be looming over us all afternoon, it might just make the perfect ambience for AllSaints’ spring 2014 presentation. We have no idea what to expect, but we’re taking bets on a chock-full of moody colour stories, luxe draping and a large helping of edge.
