A Weekend in Vancouver with Kit & Ace

A couple of weeks ago, Dani and I hopped on a plane at YYZ with a dream and a cardigan, only to realize it is scorching hot on the west side of the country and the aforementioned sweater was completely useless. The dream, however, stayed alive. Since we were wee lil’ gals, we’ve been starry-eyed over the thought of visiting Vancouver — a city that plopped itself between picturesque mountains and the vast ocean. Because Toronto has neither of these things, we fell in love as soon as we landed.

We spent the first few days with tha homie Jen in Richmond. Since she’s originally from the city, she took us to her favourite spots: Daiso (a Japanese dollar store), Japadog (a Japanese hotdog-stand-turned-restaurant), late night Japanese food, and a slew of non-Japanese places ie Stanley Park for a Mean Girls screening. After having a lil’ taste of the suburb life, we lugged our suitcases to the heart of the city for a weekend with brand spankin’ new luxe basics brand Kit & Ace. Co-founder JJ and his sidekick Courtney planned an action-packed itinerary for us and our new blogger friendz, including but not limited to a party with ice cream, a bike ride along the sea wall with ice cream, and meaningful conversations with ice cream.

Overall, our trip was wonderful and wholesome and awesome blossom fabulous fantastic and we feel so #blessed to have seen Vancouver through the eyes of its very own. Thank you x 1 million to Kit & Ace for making it all possible!

PS Big ups to JoonMONEY for following us around with a camera all weekend. You da man!!!

Yay, glad you had so much fun in Vancouver! Summer is the best time to be here (don’t come in winter when it’s grey and pissing rain lol)
